On the afternoon of June 17, 2010 storms erupted across North Dakota and Minnesota spawning dozens of tornadoes and leaving a wake of destruction. Four of the tornadoes were rated EF4 on the Enhanced Fujita scale and resulted in three fatalities. It was the worst outbreak of violent tornadoes
Minnesota had seen since 1967.
