On April 28, 2014, the second day of the first 4 day tornado outbreak of the year, a large, multiple vortex tornado caused major damage in Tupelo, MS. Jeff and Kathryn Piotrowski intercepted the storm before tornado genesis and quickly determined via radar that the storm was going to produce a tornado. Situating themselves on US 78 and US 45 North of Tupelo, they watched as the storm spun up and produced a violent EF-3, capturing stunning footage.
