November 7, 2011: Dave and Heidi Farrar tracked a highly prolific from just south of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge west of Lawton, OK, northeast to near . The storm produced numerous tornadoes, some of which were strong to violent, but mostly remained over open country for their life spans (one tornado did impact a large wind farm, and at least one Oklahoma Mesonet site sustained a direct hit!). This was the most active fall season in Oklahoma in over a decade.
